Olympic Lifting Review

At the Olympic lifting class on Tuesday, we discussed some terminology with regards to the clean and snatch. I think everyone could benefit from knowing what all those terms mean. Click the example to see the movement in action.Hang - refers to the start position (dip between top of knees and mid-thigh). Example - Hang CleanHigh Hang - refers to the start position (dip above mid-thigh). Example - High Hang CleanPower - refers to the landing position (anything above a squat) Example - Power CleanSquat - refers to the landing position (anything below a squat) Example - Squat CleanMuscle - pulling a bar into position without landing (stiff legs at the top) Example - Muscle CleanSplit - refers to the landing position (when legs split into a lunge) - Example - Split Clean"Nail It"With a 10 minute time cap, accumulate as much time as possible in a plank.
